Lew Blum
Lew Blum is a Philadelphia towing businessman. He is best known for the number of large parking lot signs distributed across Philadelphia—over 5000—advertising his eponymous business. He started off working for his uncle. In 1978, Lew Blum established his towing company. Although Blum started his company in the late-seventies he claims that it's a third generation business. Blum's grandfather Lew Smith started his towing company in 1930 in Philadelphia and his uncle, George Smith, established his towing company in 1967. Blum started working in the towing company for his uncle, George Smith, it was while on the job that he came across a Ford F-350 that was for sale at $2000. It was with this F-350 that Blum established his business after purchasing on credit.〔Who the Hell Is Lew Blum?; Jonathan Valania; Philadelphia Weekly; December 11, 2002〕 His company located in North Philadelphia is one of the biggest scams out there. It has been recently cited on CBS 3 for illegal business conduct 〔http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2014/02/04/3-on-your-side-your-towing-rights-in-philadelphia/〕 ==References==
